Polio Plus
Help End Polio Now - In 2009 Rotary was pleased to announce that it had surpassed the halfway mark in its efforts to raise US $200 million toward polio eradication. As of December 09 Rotary collected more than $107 million, more than 50% of its obligation to match $355 million in grants from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Rotary continues with its efforts around the world.

Bowelscan
This is a Rotary program developed in 1982 in New South Wales and now conducted by over 250 Rotary Clubs across Australia.
These Clubs issue approximately 150,000 kits during their annual Colorectal Screening programs. Since Bowelscan commenced, it is estimated that more than 1,000 people with bowel cancer and 5,000 with polyps have been detected.

Australian Rotary Health 
Australian Rotary Health - Supporting healthier minds, bodies and communities through research, awareness and education. 
Since 1986, Rotary Clubs and Rotarians have supported Health Research in Australia. Current support primarily goes to Mental Illness research in Australians.
Applications are available for Mental Health Research Grants, Colin Dodds Post Doctoral Fellowship, and Geoffery Betts Post Doctoral Fellowship.

Rotary Australia World Community Service - RAWCS
Supporting international projects throughout the world to alleviate proverty, promote world peace and understanding.
RAWCS approved programs include: - PolioPluc volunteers, Donations in Kind (DIK), Rotarians Against Malaria (RAM), Ranfurly Library, Village Aide Program, Green Gecko Shelters - Cambodia, Kundiawa General Hospital - PNG, ORO Province Disaster Relief, PNG and East Timor Projects and Nepal and Thailand Projects.

Donations in Kind (DIK)
One of the ways of increasing world understanding is through the work of Donations In Kind (DIK). A DIK warehouse in Durack, Brisbane is used as a clearing house for serviceable equipment which is no longer required but which can be used to support Rotary projects in developing countries.

Rotary Oceananic Medical Aid for Children - ROMAC
Rotarians volunteer their time and expertise to run this Rotary program that encompasses all the Districts of Australia and New Zealand. Assisted by many eminent Australian surgeons who generously donate their time free for the treatment of our patients, this humanitarian program has provided over 300 children from 20 developing countries with urgent medical treatment that has given them new hope. These are children with herniated brains, deformed limbs, horrific burns, heart conditions amongst many cases.

Interplast Australia
Interplast Australia and New Zealand provide access to surgical and allied health services in developing countries in the Asia Pacific region by providing programs of free medical treatment and training. 
Each volunteer member of an Interplast program is fully qualified in their field of expertise and provides free treatment to people living with a disability from a congenital condition such as cleft lip and palate, or an acquired condition such as burn scar contractures.

Rotary International 

Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio.

Shelter Box Trust
This is a registered UK charity that provides emergency aid for victims of natural and other disasters anywhere in the world.

Since operations began in January 2001, Rotary has helped over 800,000 people and operated in 57 countries – responding to earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis, wars, volcanoes etc.

The charity is supported by international affiliates set up by Rotary clubs in various other countries, including Australia, USA, Canada, Denmark, Germany, New Zealand, France & Switzerland.

Probus Clubs

Probus is an association for active retirees who join together in clubs, the basic purpose of which is to provide regular opportunities to keep their minds active, expand their interests, stay healthy through activities, benefit from training programs, network between like minded people and enjoy the fellowship of new friends.

Inner Wheel
Formed for wives and partners of male Rotarians this organisation is probably the largest women's voluntary service organisation in the world. They hold Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) status with the United Nations and have representatives all over the world. The organisation has 100,000 members in about 101 countries and geographical regions worldwide.

Rotary Youth Driver Awareness Program - RYDA
RYDA provides first quality road safety information to youth to help ensure when they commence driving they have the best road safety education possible.
RYDA a not-for-profit company that has developed a road safety education program delivered to the youth of our community through Rotary Clubs. The Program is about road safety and is directed to young people at the period in their life when they start driving a car and ride as a passenger in a car driven by one of their peers.

Group Study Exchange - GSE
The GSE program is a vocational exchange for business people and professionals between the ages of 25 and 40 who are in the early stages of their careers.
Team members experience a host country's culture and institutions, observe how their vocations are practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships and exchange ideas.

Rotary Youth Exchange
Each year Rotary Youth Exchange provides thousands of young people worldwide with an opportunity to experience the cultures and accomplishments of people in other countries. 
The ambassadorial nature of the exchange promotes world understanding and peace. Youth Exchange is an official program of Rotary International and allows around 8000 students to exchange annually to around 60 different countries.

Rotary youth Leadership Awards- RYLA

Young people, from diverse backgrounds, between the ages of 18 and 25, who have demonstrated leadership potential in a variety of situations qualify to attend these programs. It gives them the opportunity to realise their leadership potential and equips young leaders in our community with the skills to facilitate positive change in our world

Rotaract Clubs
Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and they’re sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes them true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary.
As one of Rotary’s most significant and fastest-growing service programs, with more than 7,000 clubs in about 163 countries and geographical areas, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon.

Rotary Downunder and The Rotarian magazines
The Official Magazine of Rotary International, The Rotarian, has been published continuously since 1911. Thus the Rotary world press, of which your official regional magazine Rotary Down Under is a part, celebrating 98 years of service to Rotary this year.

For the purposes of administration, Rotary clubs throughout the world are allocated into districts. A Rotary district covers a number of clubs within a defined geographical area.
